Ingraston Farm Cottage is well positioned for day trips in all directions.
The cottage is located on a loop of the Tweed Trails, so it is an ideal base for lots of outdoor activities e.g. walking, riding, mountain biking, cycling.
Visit New Lanark - World Heritage Centre award winner, and the Falls of Clyde. Explore the unusual museums of Biggar, sample some of the best ice cream in Scotland, and try the national Fish and Chip Shop of the Year 2008 winner, the Townhead Café, visit the Puppet Theatre and play-park, or have a round of golf.
There are golf courses close by at West Linton (right), Rutherford Castle, Biggar and Peebles where visitors will be made welcome.
Stroll along Peebles High Street with its varied shops, have a swim in the lovely swimming pool by the River Tweed, or expend more energy tackling the world famous mountain bike trails at Glentress or indoors at the Gytes Leisure Centre.
Visit Edinburgh and Glasgow, both centres of cultural and architectural interest befitting cities of their status, and both with excellent shopping centres.
The world-renowned Roslyn Chapel (left) is a short 20 minute drive away.
For a quieter town, try Moffat, with its boating pond and putting green, or the conservation village of West Linton.
All types of outdoor activities and country pursuits are widely available throughout the area. Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Tweed Valley, or head north and cross the Forth Road Bridge into Fife, or perhaps go westwards to Loch Lomond.
